Each table begins with the selection of an exceptional oversized slab — walnut, ancient kauri, or European oak — chosen for its natural edge, dramatic grain, and sculptural silhouette. Rather than forcing the material into a standard form, BRAVA preserves the individuality of the tree and transforms it into a functional heirloom.
Material and character
BRAVA works with rare and oversized wood slabs whose natural forms cannot be replicated. Live edges, deep grain movement, mineral marks, knots, and organic irregularities are preserved as part of the design language. These details give each table its own identity, making every commission distinct in proportion, surface, and presence.
scale and bespoke commission
The dimensions of each slab table are determined by the selected material, the intended space, and the requirements of the commission. As a reference, dining and statement tables may range from 220 cm to 600 cm in length and from 90 cm to 150 cm in width, with larger or more specialised proportions developed individually.
